1. Scope of these Terms
This Terms of Use governs how you may use the content, tools, and features made available on intellifran.com (the “Site”) — separate from the contractual relationship covered in our Terms of Service. Where the two documents overlap, the Terms of Service controls; this document adds rules specific to browsing and interacting with the Site itself.
2. Site content
Brand profiles, articles, comparison tools, and other content on the Site are provided for general informational purposes. You may view, download, and print content from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial evaluation of franchise opportunities. You may not republish, redistribute, or use Site content for a commercial purpose — including compiling brand data into a competing directory — without our prior written consent.
3. The Franchise Fit tool
Our Franchise Fit assessment and any matching, scoring, or recommendation features (the “Tool”) generate suggestions based on the information you provide and publicly available brand data. The Tool is a research aid, not a guarantee of suitability, availability, or approval by any franchisor. You remain solely responsible for independently verifying any brand’s investment requirements, territory availability, and Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) before making a decision.
4. Reviews and user submissions
If the Site allows you to submit reviews, ratings, or comments about a brand, you agree that your submission will be:
- Your own genuine experience or opinion, not written on behalf of a franchisor or competitor
- Free of confidential information you’re not authorized to share
- Free of harassment, hate speech, or unlawful content
We may moderate, edit for length, or remove submissions that violate these Terms, and we are not obligated to publish any submission.
5. Accuracy of brand data
Investment ranges, unit counts, growth rates, and other figures shown on brand profile pages are sourced from franchisors, public filings, and third-party research, and may not reflect the most current information. Always confirm figures directly with the franchisor and its most recent FDD. See our Franchise Disclaimer for more.
6. Restrictions on use
In addition to the acceptable-use rules in our Terms of Service, when using the Site you agree not to:
- Copy, mirror, or frame any part of the Site without permission
- Use bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract brand or pricing data
- Reverse-engineer any part of the Tool or underlying matching logic
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices on Site content
7. Relationship to our Terms of Service
This Terms of Use is incorporated into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service. Definitions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute-resolution provisions in the Terms of Service apply equally here.
